In an emotional post on Instagram, the Grammy-winning artist expressed her exhaustion from enduring criticism both in her personal life and online.
“All I want is to make music and make people happy and help the world be a little better than how I found it,” she shared.
Despite her desire to spread joy through her music, Lizzo lamented the prevalence of what she perceives as falsehoods tarnishing her reputation. “But I’m starting to feel like the world doesn’t want me in it,” she confessed. “I’m constantly up against lies being told about me for clout & views.”

In a statement dated March 29, Lizzo articulated her frustration with the constant scrutiny she faces, particularly regarding her appearance. “I’m tired of being the butt of the joke every single time because of how I look… my character being picked apart by people who don’t know me and disrespecting my name,” she declared. “I didn’t sign up for this s—. I QUIT.”
